Big Changes in the May 2024 Nintendo Switch Game Charts

It’s time to dive into the May 2024 Nintendo Switch game chart! This month has seen a massive shift, with one familiar plumber continuing to dominate the scene. May brought with it two bank holiday weekends, giving younger gamers and seasoned players alike plenty of extra playtime.

Taking the top spot is Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, claiming its throne in the May charts. Nintendo’s influence is undeniable, with twelve games dominating just over half of the chart. Notably, there are seven re-entries, one new entry, two games moving up, and ten moving down. The Lego games make a strong comeback, with Star Wars and Harry Potter franchises re-entering the fray. Borderlands 3 also climbs the ranks, moving up four spots to number sixteen.

Despite mainline Pokémon games, Scarlet and Violet, exiting the Top 20, Pokémon Legends: Arceus returns, keeping the pocket monsters in the mix. Sonic Superstars shines at number ten, marking Sonic’s triumphant return to the charts. Additionally, Unicorn Overlord claims the eleventh spot, reinforcing its presence.
